61) The plate is now in place and stringing felts are being applied and down bearing
set.
62) See the way in which the pin block is fitted to this style piano. A
chamfer cut had to be made in the front edge to allow the fall board to be able to fold
back into that space.
63) All the stringing felts have now been selected and installed.

64) Traveling the new shanks and flanges on the action to ensure maximum power.
65) Rubbing out the lid with a high tech rubbing machine. A straight edge is
clamped to the surface to ensure exactly parallel rubbing lines. This type machine
is used by the very best piano manufacturers in their assembly lines in order to obtain
those marvelously flat finishes that are so loved by the buying public. You don't
have to go to a large manufacturer to get that kind of quality because it's available
right here at Rodgers' Piano Rebuilding.
66) The finished product ready to return to the delighted owners.

67) Another picture of the finished product. Despite
the rather unusual and (in my opinion) inferior design of the sound board mounting system
in this piano, the tone of the instrument ended up surprisingly wonderful. The bass
is very full of Steinway-like growl and power!
