If any of these pianos interest you, please send a letter to the address at the top of this page. Click the thumbnails below to see photos of this 1928 Knabe grand which is for sale currently. This piano will need to be rebuilt before it is ready for use but is a wonderful example of Knabe's pianos. It will make an excellent piano at a very reasonable cost. Current asking price for this piano is $3500 and restoration will include everything and cost about $15k. When done, I can just about guarantee that this piano will rival or exceed any Steinway of similar size for tone, touch and appearance. Restoration to include new satin finish, new pin block, new sound board, new bridges, new action, etc... Click below to see a photo of this Cornish Orchestrion which is for sale. This piano has been reconditioned and has a new player mechanism. It lights up when playing and contains glockenspiel, bass drum/timpani, cymbal crash and roll, tambourine, triangle, wood block, snare drum tap and roll, and a 25 cent coin operation option along with constant "on." The coin will activate the piano for one song and then shut it off automatically. This unit plays "O" rolls which contain between 10 and 15 songs per roll. New "O" style rolls are readily available. Asking price for this piano is $10k. Click below to see this Schimmel Giraffe piano which I currently have for sale. To the best of my knowledge this is a one of a kind piano. The only other unit similar to it is in the Schimmel Museum in Germany. This piano needs a museum grade restoration before it will be ready for use. The quality and condition are such that the piano will serve quite well as a constant use unit despite its age; once the restoration is completed. Asking price for this piano is $25k and restoration will cost $25k due to the plan for restoring it while making museum grade records of each action during rebuilding. Since the true value of this piano is easily in the area of six figures, this is a very reasonable price to pay in order to acquire such a rare and important piece of piano manufacturing history. The string length alone on this piano makes it special. The bass strings are similar in length to those you would find on a seven foot grand! Make inquiries concerning these pianos or any special requests that I find you another type of piano of whatever sort via the email link below or you can also call me during my shop hours or at home using the numbers listed at the top of each page of this web site.
